As you will see below, we’ve compiled the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we have received from our patients over the years. Take a look and let us know if you would like to discuss any of the further by calling our office.
Why Are Dental Checkups & Cleanings Important?
Six-month dental checkups and teeth cleanings are strongly recommended not only by our team of professionals but also by the American Dental Association. These visits give our team a chance to use specialized instruments to clear away plaque and tartar that cannot be removed at home with standard toothbrushes. They also ensure that you are not currently suffering from decay, gum disease, or even oral cancer.
I’m Scared of the Dentist. Do You Offer Sedation Dentistry?
Yes, we are pleased to provide oral conscious sedation to patients who struggle with dental anxiety. Designed predominantly for those with moderate levels of dental fear, it can also be helpful should you require multiple treatment solutions during one appointment, have a sensitive gag reflex, have past dental trauma, or struggle to sit still for prolonged periods.
Does It Hurt to Receive Dental Implants?
No, you should not expect the oral procedure to cause any pain. Before inserting the posts into your jawbone, you will receive local anesthesia and sedation dentistry, if required. This will help to numb the mouth and keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Once you’re at home, though, the anesthesia will wear off, likely causing some slight discomfort. You can take an over-the-counter pain reliever and use a cold compress to minimize any pain you might feel.
Will My Veneers Look Natural?
Yes, you can feel confident knowing that your new smile will look completely natural. This is especially true since we can now show you the results before you ever receive your veneers. With digital imaging software, it’s easy to see your new smile, complete with veneers, long before you ever start the process.
Will You Take My Dental Insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross and Delta Dental; however, you are welcome to call our office and inquire about other potential insurances that we welcome. If private insurance isn’t something you have, you can also consider flexible financing through CareCredit.
